Today is our fourth anniversary. We celebrated this past weekend with a trip to The Domes in Milwaukee, and then dinner at Benvenuto’s. Both were incredible, mostly because of my lovely wife. Tonight, Erika surprised me with a candle lit dinner while the kids were playing in their room. It was incredibly sweet. These have been the best years of my life, and I’m looking forward to many more with my wife.
Our little Emma Lee turned 2 today. The terrible twos started a while ago but she’s still such a happy little sweetheart (when she’s not being terrible). She has started talking quite a bit this year and she just started potty training. She’s been a joy to watch as she grows.

I can’t believe Payton, our little miracle baby, is four years old already! It seems like just yesterday that we were visiting her in the NICU as much as we could. She has been such a blessing in our lives. This past year she started school and has been such a sweet big sister to Emma. She may not always be the best behaved little girl but none of them are at her age. We’re just so grateful she’s healthy and growing up to be a beautiful little girl.

I had the kids in the tub this morning and we were singing Ol’ McDonald as usual. Payton always picks the animal and the sound to go with it. We went through the usual farm animals and then moved on to family members (who apparently all make farting noises). Emma, Payton, Daddy, Mommy, Gampa, Gamma, and then “Beel” which is what she calls our friend Nabeel. So cute.
Nabeel! We miss you! Come home!
Today is my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, Payton, Emma, and I are all sick. This sucks! We’re still making it special for her. We all colored on a card for Mommy and I got her a cool set of decorative drawers. I also designed a new website for her photography but its not quite ready to launch yet.
